Verdun

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the cruel battles of World War I to conquer the French town of Verdun, the Franco-German Youth Office invited 5,000 adolescents from Germany and France to an encounter weekend in Verdun in May of 2015. With participation of numerous politicians from both countries, such as the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the French President Francois Hollande, many events took place, among these also a cinema premiere of the movie “Apocalypse Verdun”, presented in a multifunctional hall in Verdun to 3,000 adolescents. The full range of event technology required for this major event was supplied by us.

The precipitous saddleback roof of the multifunctional hall made a special screen design necessary, required in order to retain a screen size with a 4:3 format.
